What is Reiki?
Reiki was founded in the 1920s by Mikao Usui. It is a form of energy healing from a reiki practitioner using hands on or off techniques to send life force energy throughout your body. It is a complementary treatment to traditional medicine.
How should I prepare for the session?
It is recommended to create a relaxing space you can unwind and allow yourself to settle in for the session. Candles, incense, essential oils, relaxing playlists, comfy clothes, and blankets can be a way to make your space feel good to you. The beauty of being in your own space allows you to customize it to your needs. Drink plenty of water beforehand.
What can I expect during a session?
We will have a zoom call for the meeting at your designated time. We will spend a few minutes chatting about your goals and any questions you may have. Next, you will get comfy sitting or laying down for me to begin reiki on you. Once reiki is complete, we will discuss your experience and do an oracle card pull to close the session. Each session lasts 60 minutes.
Each reiki session can be a different experience for you. During a reiki session you may see colors, hear things, see events, feel pressure, feel nothing, etc. It is different for each person and each session! Reiki energy is intelligent and it knows where to go within your body. So trust that each session is working out exactly for you and what you need at the time.
What can I expect after a session?
You may be releasing or detoxing things from your system. Drink plenty of water and allow yourself to rest.
